Hida Beef Shabu Shabu Dinner
The table for our second night dinner was moved to a different room. It was a bigger room and tatami seating but there is a space under a table so that you can sit like you are sitting on the chair. Finally, Hida beef shabu shabu! We were so happy about that…and its volume. We were so full and happy.

I’m not a huge fan of shabu shabu, it’s just one of those subtle flavor things Japanese cuisine is known for. I get it in sushi, but so far in pork and beef barely cooked in “water”… I find myself longing for a more robust flavor. Maybe some places have more powerful sauces to dip in?
Still, it was good, and there was another Japanese wine variant that I liked – so it’s all good. 😉
